Dr. Stephanie Iacovelli graduated from Cornell University with her bachelor's degree in neurobiology and behavior in 2011. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Tufts University. She volunteered at Cummings School pet loss hotline, supporting pet owners all over the country. She kept herself busy while working towards her degree and sharpened her leadership skills volunteering as the Tufts student representative for the AVMA house of delegates. She was also the THRIVE student facilitator, leading programs that teach professional and leadership skills to other students. She was the Tufts SAVMA wellness committee chair, planning and implementing student wellness events on campus.
Dr. Iacovelli spent a great deal of time in the research department at the Museum of Science in Boston, Harrison Laboratory at Cornell University and as a wildlife clinic research assistant at Tufts. Somehow, she also found time to work as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Harvard University from 2012 through 2015.
Dr. Iacovelli is also the proud mom to two furbabies, Gryffindog, an adorable four-year-old Dachshund mix, and Petunia, a sweet little 10-week-old hound mix.
