Dr. Lavin, originally from Acton, MA, earned a BS in Animal Behavior from the University of New England in 2014 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 2018. Afterward, she completed a rotating internship at VCA South Shore, followed by surgical internships at Midwestern University and NEAMC. She then pursued specialized training in surgery during a surgical residency at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Lavin enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, with a particular interest in wound management, emergency abdominal and thoracic procedures, and elective orthopedic procedures.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Lavin enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her two cats, DJ and Hype Man Gill, as well as her husband. She also has a passion for singing, dancing, and listening to audiobooks. Her favorite places to travel include New England’s scenic landscapes and coastal areas.
