Jolene Michelle Babyak is a passionate veterinary professional who has dedicated her career to the field of emergency and critical care medicine. With a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, along with two Master of Science degrees—one in Clinical and Translational Science and another in Chemistry—Jolene brings a rich blend of knowledge and experience to her role as ECC Medical Director and Criticalist.

Jolene’s journey in veterinary medicine has been both fulfilling and impactful. She has taken on various leadership and clinical roles that have allowed her to provide exceptional care to patients and mentor and inspire the next generation of veterinarians. Her experience as faculty at the Cummings School involved teaching and guiding students, interns, and residents, all while contributing to important clinical research.

When she’s not caring for her patients or mentoring others, Jolene enjoys finding balance in life through family, nature, and personal growth.  She enjoys playing video games with her spouse and kids, gardening, and is addicted to audiobooks.  She’s also an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the veterinary community, believing that a diverse workforce enriches the practice and enhances the care provided to animals and their families.

Jolene is excited about this new chapter and is looking forward to making a meaningful impact in the lives of her patients, their families, and the entire veterinary community.
