Our laboratory plays an important role in helping to get your pet on the road to health quickly.

Laboratory tests are an important part of diagnosing and treating many medical conditions.

At the New England Animal Medical Center we utilize a combination of tests that are run “in-house” and tests that are run in reference laboratories. When results are needed on a “stat” basis (we need to know right now) results are available rapidly using our state of the art laboratory analyzers. We utilize a veterinary reference lab for many tests that are either unusual or do not require immediate results. Our reference laboratory has veterinary pathologists who are available to review unusual test results and offer additional diagnostic information. Achieving the optimum diagnostic information is our goal when we utilize laboratory tests.

In addition our laboratory has the capability of performing blood typing, coagulation (clotting) tests, fecal exams for parasites, heartworm tests, and many others important diagnostic tests. We make every effort to provide your pet with the best diagnostic veterinary services available in a timely and useful manner.
