receptionists, and other hospital personnel who share in our goal
of providing owners and their pets with the best that modern veterinary
medicine has to offer. We provide these services in an environment
that has equipment and facilities that are "state of the art",
but "old fashioned" in our belief that we are here for
the express purpose of providing health care for your pet in a
compassionate manner. |

 |
In March of 2006 NEAMC went digital! Our new
radiology system takes digital x-rays. This allows us access to
specialists in veterinary radiology who review your pet's images
and help provide expert diagnoses. The system allows for x-rays
to be enhanced providing optimal information. |
 |
Our internal medicine staff provides in house ultrasound
services. In addition we employ the services of a Boarded veterinary
cardiologist who regularly performs cardiac and abdominal ultrasounds
on patients. Click on the ARC icon to learn more about other medical
diagnostic tests and procedures including endoscopy, blood chemistry
tests, hematology, endocrinology, and a wide range of internal medical

Additional Services Available
at NEAMC |
Laboratory. Our
in house laboratory operates seven days a week and has a dedicated
staff of trained technicians. We have modern equipment to perform
blood counts, blood chemistries, urinalysis, bacterial and fungal
cultures, cytology, blood cross matching for transfusions, and
a host of others tests. Because many tests at NEAMC are performed
in house we often have the results within hours instead of waiting
days.
Blood Bank. We have
the necessary equipment to collect and store and transfuse whole
blood and also to separate the various components of blood so that
they can be successfully stored frozen and are available when needed
for emergencies. Many of our veterinarian's and technician's own
pets participate in our pet blood donor program.
