wide variety of services |

Over the years, we have made many changes to our hospital to accommodate the
changing face of veterinary medicine. We have greatly expanded our staff and
added board certified specialists, invested in state-of-the-art medical,
surgical, and laboratory equipment, and expanded our pharmacy inventory. |
|

|
- Blood Bank- Gives clinicians access to a
constant supply of whole blood, packed red blood cell and fresh frozen
plasma units for emergency transfusions. Before the blood bank, units had
to be ordered from a central supply in Pennsylvania and clinicians had to
wait up to 48 hours for delivery.
|
- In house STAT Laboratory - Allows
clinicians to get STAT blood test results on critical patients within
minutes to an hour depending on the test. Prior to establishing our
extensive lab, most blood work was submitted to outside labs where
results were not available for at least 24 hours or longer.
|
- Education Department- Initially
established to support our veterinary internship program, the department
has been expanded to include continuing education for Veterinarians and
Technicians, and to facilitate client education. We are finding that
a large number of clients are researching veterinary medical topics on the
web and our goal is to provide them with a convenient and accurate source
of medical information.
|
- Financial Department- Developed to help
clients work out different payment options for the cost of the veterinary
health care their pets require or have received. We understand
that veterinary care can be expensive- especially for critically injured
or ill pets. However, we try to make it as affordable as possible given
the exurbanite costs we incur running the hospital including paying for
upgraded medical equipment, medications, employee salaries, insurance, &
continuing education, the hospital facilities itself, and all of the other
costs of doing business.
