Westbridge Veterinary Hospital
has been providing
primary veterinary care & services to local clients since 1975.
The hospital is one of the best-equipped general practices in the region.
Maintaining patient wellness is a primary focus for the hospital, but the
staff treats patients with medical or surgical problems ranging from the
simple to the extremely complicated. Our doctors are dedicated to keeping
you, the pet owner, well informed so that together we can provide the best

Meet the
Westbridge Doctors |
- Preventative Medicine-
Pediatric & geriatric health programs, yearly physical exams,
vaccinations, heartworm prevention for dogs, & other health maintenance
programs.
- Internal medicine-
Diagnosis & therapy of diseases and conditions requiring medical
management and long-term care including Diabetes Mellitus, epilepsy,
Addison’s disease, Cushing’s disease, thyroid disorders, urinary tract and
kidney diseases, chronic skin conditions and allergic dermatitis, and
neoplasia.
- Surgery- Orthopedic-
including cruciate (knee) repairs, limb & pelvic fractures, bone biopsies;
Soft tissue- including mass removal, abdominal exploratory, bladder
/ intestinal surgery, chest surgery; Laser surgery- dewclaws and
some mass removals; Routine surgeries (spay & neuter). Cat owners will be
particularly interested to learn that declawing with a laser greatly
reduces or eliminates post-operative discomfort. Most cats are walking
comfortably within an hour of completion of the surgery.
- Dental Care- Dental
cleaning with ultrasonic scaler and polishing unit, and tooth extractions
- Radiology- Complete
radiographic facility with high quality X-ray machine, regular and fine
detail film & automatic processor. Studies include routine survey films,
contrast studies, & OFA certification films.
- Ultrasound- Ultrasound
unit for in-house studies of the abdomen & chest.
- Laboratory- We are
proud of our in house laboratory that allows us to have results on the
same day for many blood tests instead of waiting one or more days for the
results. In house capabilities include CBC, Chemistry profile,
microbiology (cultures), blood typing, coagulation profiling and more.

- Pharmacy-
Extensive drug inventory so medications can be dispensed before leaving
the clinic. We also carry selected medications compounded into liquid for
animals that are difficult to pill as well as a variety of prescription
products for flea and tick control.
- Prescription Diet & Nutrition
Counseling- Learn about prescription
diets formulated to help specific medical conditions and order diets
through WVH.
