The Animal Referral Center and The Animal Emergency & Critical Care Center is proud to have
Dr. Patricia Walters join our staff.
| Dr.
Walters will be working with both services.
|
| Through the Animal Referral Center (ARC), she will be
accepting internal medicine referrals from area hospitals. Dr.Walters
offers scheduled office appointments for these referrals and will be
exclusively directing the diagnostics & medical treatments for referred
patients. She will also be in direct communication with the referring
veterinarian who will take over the management of the patient after
discharge. Dr Walters is currently the chief clinician for the internal
medicine arm of the ARC.
Dr Walers will also be working with the Animal Emergency & Critical Care Center
(AECCC) staff offering internal medicine consultations in addition to seeing
emergency cases and managing some of our most critical hospitalized
patients. She is currently working weekdays, Monday through Thursday.

| About Dr. Walters |
| Dr. Walters graduated from the University of Pennsylvania
where she also completed an internship and 2 residency programs including
Small Animal Internal Medicine and Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care.
After achieving board certification in 2 specialty fields, Dr. Walters moved
up to Massachusetts where she worked for 3 years at South Shore Veterinary
Associates before it was bought out by VCA, and then worked for 5 years at
Cardiopet Veterinarian Referral Center in New Jersey. Dr. Walters special
area of interest is endoscopy and she will be available to perform both
endosopic exams (visual tissue inspection) as well as harvesting tissue
biopsies from the stomach, proximal intestines, and colon. She has
also retrieving various foreign objects from the stomachs of many dogs and
cats which has saved them from an exploratory surgery. |
